Caroline has frequently spoken at national and international meetings and has published several papers in the veterinary literature. She is recognised as a Specialist in Small Animal Surgery by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
After initially graduating from Liverpool University, Caroline undertook a two year house-officer post at Liverpool University where she obtained her Certificate in Veterinary Radiology.
She then completed a three year Small Animal Residency at the University of Pennsylvania in America, becoming a Diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. Caroline is also a Diplomat of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons and was amongst the first to obtain the RCVS Diploma in Small Animal Surgery (Soft Tissue).
Caroline became Head of Small Animal Surgery at the Animal Health Trust in Suffolk, UK (and performed all of their surgeries for cancer on small animals). She left in 1998 to concentrate on her private clinic and is now developing her own specialist referral centre in Darby Green (near Camberley) on the Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire border.
